Sr Structural Project Manager (PE) – Houston, TX

While leading the structural department, responsible for the execution of projects according to the company’s contractual obligations and the client’s needs and expectations. Principal duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Provide design for structural components necessary for the development of a project
• Perform structural wood and steel calculations for commercial and residential projects
• Perform reinforced concrete calculations for building slabs, spread footings, retaining walls, etc.
• Have the ability of understanding, interpreting and correctly applying national codes and standards such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI and AISC
• Prepare estimates and proposals for engineering services
• Keep up to date on new engineering processes, techniques and IMS and standards
• Ensure that effective methods and design/engineering techniques are used
• Resolve project issues and problems
• Provide technical guidance to co-workers
• Contribute to a team environment by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner
  Work autonomously without direct supervision

Job Requirements:

• Must be Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 4+ Years of experience with residential and commercial design
• Strong working knowledge of design codes such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI and AISC
• Proficient in using analytical software and have experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills and interface skills with clients and project team members
• Ability to multi-task and a willingness to quickly change work assignments
